“I have always had a vision to set up a successful global corporation using my own investments and slowly Invest into Wine with Sure Holdings materialized into the Company we are today. Another motivating factor for setting up this company was my involvement with the stock market and being a broker for many years, I see an industry that endows a high percentage of commission desiring salesmen who do not really look after their clients. As I was also investing myself into the stock market, I found that the stresses of these investments and the risk to reward was far greater than the wine investments that I was making. It was evident that the returns in my fine wine  portfolio were actual returns that happened time and time again.  When I did not get the expected returns, I still did not lose and this was the key to long term stability and control over return on investment. Best of all, the growth was stress free as we know that the fine wine market is a very niche and prestigious market and the opportunities of fine wine is simple supply and demand. Hence, fine wine in general appreciates over time at a nice steady pace.

 

If you ask any financial person what their view is on  wine investment, they will agree that it is a good investment, but you need diversification in your fine wine portfolio and a wine fund or a pension plan is also required. The stock market and fund management business is heavily loaded with commercialism and one reason why companies do not promote fine wine  investment is because the commissions are low. We knew from our business plan when starting the business that we aim to find a way to enhance people’s lifestyles whilst investing their money. Why Wine Investment?

Early in my broking career many years ago, I worked for a European firm as a Fine Wine Broker and I have enjoyed this business immensely. It is a fun business and at the same time substantial returns can be made from Fine Wine Investment. Wine is a solid and safe investment and gives a certain appeal to many people. Not only can we make a great investment but when the fine wine comes to fruition if we can’t find a buyer, then we can always drink it! Being in the restaurant business since my father had his first restaurant when I was at an early age meant I have always been around wine as well as drinking. I’ve decided that Fine Wine investment is a great investment vehicle but not many are aware of this great opportunity. Fine Wine is a stable asset and generally increase steadily over a period. Fine Wine is relatively low risk, a medium to long term plan and a more liquid investment which offers our clients balanced options. I studied with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust to ensure that I not only have the experience in buying fine wines but also have the knowledge in how and why a good grape is grown and chosen to make an exceptional wine with a great bouquet. The most important factor which I stand by in this firm is that I will not offer an investment to our clients if I will not invest into it myself. I do not believe as a Managing Director that success is based on short term gains.
